Going north out of
Harwich harbour the River Deben is a short sail away. There are moorings available at
Ramsholt and several
delightful anchorage spots before reaching the market town of Woodbridge with its marina
along side the old Tide Mill.On turning south
from Harwich Harbour brings you to the entrance
of
Walton Backwaters where the peaceful
creeks of Landamere and Handford Water gave inspiration for the Arthur Ransome novels.
There are moorings in the Walton Channel leading to Titchmarshes Marina, with the seaside
town of Walton on the Naze within easy reach.
